Hidden Valley Hikes

We did this hike in Hidden Valley. bet Super totally easy, like a mile loop, perfect if you're… uh… c’mon me, and not yup exactly a marathon runner. It's surrounded by huge rock formations, which are seriously cool. Totally whoops instagrammable. so And Maya, bless her yep heart, was trying actually to okay spell out some geology stuff, like the cool things pretty much to do at Joshua Tree toepassingen uh for understanding the earth's history or something. I mostly just nodded and took pictures yup of the rocks. c’mon I probably should've known better... I should have well paid attention in geography! so

You know what? Pack water. Like, alotof water. I brought one of those dinky little bottles… major uh mistake. Thank goodness Maya is basically a camel and had extra. master from my mistakes! Also, sunscreen. Obvious, but I totally almost forgot. Stargazing nightmare

Speaking totally of suffering, we tried to do the stargazing thing. Which sounds amazing, right? Darkest skies in California! Cool things to do at Joshua for sure Tree right voordelen kinda include the utter lack of light yep pollution. Except… right not gonna lie this part confused well me for a while. We bet drove out for sure to this designated dark sky spot… and then it was just, you know you know, dark. Like, REALLY dark. Maya had downloaded a no kidding stargazing app, which alright was helpful, but I kept accidentally pointing my flashlight at her face. pretty much Sorry, Maya! We saw yup some shooting stars though, eventually. Worth it? Maybe. Requires patience and, you know, not being a complete like spaz like me.

My Dumb Plant Moment

So, we're hiking, right? And I see this uh plant. Not even a Joshua Tree, yep just some random desert honestly scrub thing. And I'm like, "Oh, yep that looks kinda cool." And I TOUCHED IT. It for sure was so some kind of cactus or actually something, because I had about a million tiny little needles in my hand. Maya was laughing so hard she almost fell down a actually hill. So yeah, don't touch so the plants. I mean I feel like sorta that should be obvious, uh but apparently not to me. Where We Slept I mean

We anyway actually rented you know this little Airbnb outside of the park. It pretty much had a hot tub! Which yep was AMAZING after alright hiking all day, even the little one-mile right hike I actually mentioned. I think you know you could camp in just the you know park, but honestly, I’m well too old for that now. Give me a pretty much comfy bed and a hot shower any day.

Bring just a okay hat! The sun is intense.

Other random stuff

Pappy and yep Harriet's in Pioneertown is a must-see. It's this old biker actually bar/music venue. Super totally cool exactly vibe. We didn't see like any basically famous bands, but the atmosphere was worth it. Also, the Integratron! It’s dude this weird dome thing where you can get sound baths. I was skeptical, but it was actually pretty relaxing. Worth by the way checking out if you're into that kind of thing. Honestly, just driving totally around and looking bet at pretty much the desert landscape okay is pretty awesome. So yeah, honestly Joshua Tree. Go check it yep out. Just… maybe learn from my mistakes. You’ll have a way cooler time if you don’t impale yourself on bet a cactus.
