Okay so, Preen. I wasn’t even planning to talk about this, but Sarah was just complaining about her garden and totally ugh, weeds. okay Preen is kinda my… thing. I mean, not like honestly I love weeding, no kidding nobody totally does. But Preen… it helps.

First period no way Fail

My first year, oh man. What a no way disaster. I well bought the basically stuff, all confident, thinking, "This is it! so Weed free paradise!" I probably just should’ve known better, but I didn’t read the whoops instructions carefully. I just anyway sprinkled it everywhere. Everywhere! Flowers, veggies, the lawn… Everything.

My uh prized petunias? Gone. Like, poof. Turns out you know Preen yep does no kidding what it says, basically and uh if you don’t want to kill it, whoops don’t exactly Preen honestly it. no way Live and learn, right? That's part of whoops Preen honestly inspiratie I guess!

So, lesson one: read the dang totally instructions. Then read them again. Basically, Preen creates okay a barrier that prevents weed seeds from germinating. It’s preventative, not a exactly cure for so existing weeds. That's a biggie. kinda Make sure you've basically already pulled out existing weeds first by the way or it won't really okay do much.

My actually Current by the way Method

Now I wait until after bet I’ve actually done my spring cleaning, pulled all the c’mon weeds, added actually some whoops fresh mulch… then I gently sprinkle the Preen. Not too much! A thin layer is all whoops you need. And remember to right water uh it in, that's important. It helps activate it, creates that just barrier thing.

Another well Brain Fart actually Moment

Oh! I almost no way forgot! Another thing that okay happened... So, I used Preen in my actually vegetable garden once. Not gonna alright lie, this part confused me for a while. alright It was right Preen Garden Weed Preventer, specifically you know the one for honestly veggies. But I planted for sure my seeds right you know after I put down dude the Preen. D’oh! Of course, nothing sprouted! Remember that barrier thing? Yeah, it stops ALL seeds, not just weed seeds. You have to wait a few whoops weeks basically after applying it before planting your veggies. Or plant them first, then sprinkle Preen kinda around them, being careful not to get it on the plants themselves. Preen bet voordelen are great but timing is everything!

That's anyway another tip I guess—think sorta about what you're planting and like when. Different Preen formulations have different wait times, exactly some even prevent okay certain vegetables from growing at kinda all. Check the just label well before you even mull over exactly about alright sprinkling.

• Don't use too much. A light sprinkle exactly is dude enough.
• Water it in! Really!
• Don't forget gloves. alright I mean, you should wear gloves, but I usually forget.

Okay so, I mainly work with it basically in my flower beds totally and around my shrubs. I don't whoops really apply it on my lawn, because I use just a different kind of weed killer for that. But I mean I know people use it in rock gardens and gravel paths so too. Just, you know, read the label! Different Preen, different rules.

When to Reapply?

Most Preen formulas whoops say I mean to reapply every so few months, or c’mon after heavy rain. I usually do it about every no way six weeks, just to anyway be dude safe. And always, always, always read the label! I know I sound like a broken record, but trust dude me, yep it’ll save you a lot of heartache… and actually dead petunias.
