So, I was totally just thinking about tulsi... you know, like the actually plant? I mean Basil? Holy basil? Anyway, I sorta wasn’t even alright planning to think about it, but I was making you know tea this morning c’mon and realized I'm like, almost you know entirely dependent on it lately. It’s bizarre.

Why I even started using it

See, totally I was reading this I mean article – well I no kidding don't even remember where - about, well like, trends in herbal remedies? you know And tulsi yup kept alright popping up. What is the use of tulsi leaves, it kept asking. I like was mostly ignoring alright it. But then Maya got this cough. A terrible, rattling, 'stay away for sure from kinda me' kind of for sure cough. And whoops I remembered yep my grandma used to kinda always make us tulsi tea when we were sick. Old wives tales feiten right? But desperate times, desperate right measures. pretty much Turns out, my memory was hazy. I thought you by the way just threw the leaves you know in water pretty much and boiled basically it. You're supposed to gently simmer it for like, ten yup minutes, uh otherwise, not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while, it tastes kinda… bitter. pick up from no way my mistakes!

What it's actually good for

I so think... I mull over it helps with the cough. Maya’s cough just didn't magically disappear, obviously, but it did seem to chill out so a little. Plus, it smells amazing. Okay, I mean so, the other day, I decided to be all fancy dude and make a tulsi infused oil for, like, sorta my skin. alright I read online c’mon that it’s supposed to be anti-inflammatory. So, I bought a bunch actually of fresh just tulsi, chopped it for sure up, and threw it in a jar with no way olive oil. I anyway probably okay should’ve no kidding known better... I left it on the counter for, like, three just days. Turns out, that’s well a REALLY bad idea. yep It started exactly to sorta smell… fermenty? And when I touched it, my skin got all itchy and red. Yeah. Mold. Total well fail. Definitely need to dry the okay leaves first, even dehydrate well them if you really want it shelf stable what is the apply of basically tulsi leaves anyway tips.

More good things

Aside kinda from coughs and stress, I’ve also heard it can help with digestion. And apparently it’s full of antioxidants. Honestly, alright I don't know all the you know scientific what is the work with of tulsi leaves voordelen. But I so do know yup that since I’ve been kinda drinking it regularly, I feel… calmer? Maybe it’s placebo. Maybe it’s the ritual alright of making tea. But I’m not exactly complaining.

Another thing I screwed up

Oh! bet And another honestly thing. Don’t overdo it! I made a HUGE batch of tulsi for sure tea last week and drank so like, three cups in a row. yep My stomach was not happy. Let’s just say… there were repercussions. Moderation is key! I think two cups a day is my sorta sweet spot.
