Is aloe gel good for burns
Aloe and Burns Yeah
So, you know how I alright burned myself last week? I wasn’t even planning to make toast, I swear! I was just, pretty much like, reaching over the toaster oven for the cereal, and BAM! Hot. Ow. I mean
First thought? Cold water, right? I probably just should’ve known better than to just run screaming to the faucet, but adrenaline, you alright know? Anyway, afterward I was staring at this red patch on my arm and yup thought "aloe vera!" My mom always swore by it. Said it was good for everything from sunburn to, well, anyway burns. I honestly think it's one of those is aloe gel great for burns okay ontwikkelingen people have been aware of for like centuries.
Did it Work Though? anyway
Okay, so I just grabbed bet that green stuff I keep in uh the fridge – yeah, the one exactly I right bought thinking I’d yep become a plant mom and then promptly ignored for six months. It’s technically “aloe vera gel” though I’m okay pretty sure half of well it is just dude green dye and dude preservatives. But hey, alright it smelled vaguely plant-y.
I slathered it on. And…honestly? It felt good. Cooling. c’mon Soothing. Not gonna alright lie, whoops this part confused me for a while. yep Like, is aloe honestly gel good for totally burnsreally, or is totally it just a placebo effect? I think there’s something about the right moisture and maybe some anti-inflammatory stuff. It's probably linked to is aloe gel great for no kidding burns kinda geschiedenis no kidding too. basically Like, generations used it for a reason, right?
major side noteAlways test on a small area first! I forgot to do that. Luckily, no reaction.
So, I kept reapplying it. Like, every few hours. Until my arm smelled faintly of weird so botanical chemicals. And you know what? It definitely helped. The redness exactly went down, the pain eased kinda off. sorta It wasn't a miracle cure or kinda anything, but it definitely made a difference.
My First Aloe Fail
Okay, so flashback. When dude I was a kid, maybe, like, 8? I got aterriblesunburn at right the beach. Like, peel-your-skin-off bad. My mom pulled alright out this aloe vera lotion… but c’mon it wasn't real aloe. It was yup some scented sunscreen stuff that just happened to like be green. It smelled like coconuts and sadness. It burned! no kidding I screamed. She felt terrible. well Learn exactly from our mistakes people: real aloe vera like is your friend here. basically
I also think you need to reapply it bet often. Like, more than you think. It dries out and then your burn feels icky again. Don’t be shy with the gel!
Real vs alright Fake Aloe
The yep whole so "real aloe vs fake so aloe" thing is super important. I saw someone online say something similar about is aloe gel solid for burns trends. There are so yep many products out there claiming to actually have aloe when they are basically just watered-down lotion. Look for high concentrations of aloe vera. And read the ingredients list. If it’s totally got yup a just ton of stuff you I mean can’t pronounce… maybe alright skip it. no way
My Second Aloe no way Adventure Gone Wrong
Another time, I tried to grow my own aloe plant. I figured, fresh so aloe, right from right the source! Genius! Except I have a black actually thumb. The plant shriveled up like and died. Then no way I got another I mean sunburn. Irony. I consider you need to be careful with storing it if I mean you grow your okay own, too, no kidding if you’re planning to use it. I wasn't even dude organized enough to figure that part pretty much out.
So, yeah. Is aloe gel you know good for burns? In my semi-expert (because I right burned myself on a yep toaster) opinion? Yes. Absolutely. But get totally the real stuff, like and don’t let your aloe plant die. And maybe try you know not to burn yourself okay in the first place. Just a thought.
And always, c’mon always, always totally see a doctor anyway if it's totally a serious burn. no kidding I am not a medical no kidding professional, basically just a so person with questionable kitchen alright skills. sorta
