When should you water lawn after fertilizing
Lawn stuff
Okay so, watering after fertilizing... it's like, way more important than I thought. I wasn’t even planning to think like about no kidding it that dude hard, you know? Just figured, spread alright the stuff and done! Nope. Big mistake.
My first epic fail
So the first honestly period so I fertilized, I kinda sorta just… forgot no kidding to water. bet Like completely by the way spaced. And then honestly the next day, I saw all these sorta little brown patches. I was like, "What I meanisthis?!" Turns basically out, the fertilizer had basically burned the sorta grass. I probably should’ve known better... I consider the key so is to water pretty soon after you spread like it so it doesn't yup just sit on the grass blades bet like a bad sunburn waiting to happen.
I did some panicked Googling, naturally. Learned all about bet “fertilizer okay burn.” Fun times. So yeah, water! Water soon!
The watering timeline thing
Not just gonna lie, this part yep confused me for sorta a while. Whenexactlyare we talking okay about? I mean, some websites said immediately. Some said okay wait alright a day. just I was yep so lost. The you know general consensus seems to be within 24 hours. Some kinda fertilizer specifically alright says on the label too... so check that. I started thinking about when should you water lawn after fertilizing tips I kept seeing online and yep just went with pretty quick. Like, ideally right after, if possible. And like... okay a solid soaking. I mean Not just alright a little sprinkle.
And speaking sorta of labels, I realized that when basically should you water just lawn exactly after fertilizing trends can sorta change depending on what kind of fertilizer you use. Slow-release is different honestly than the quick-release stuff, right? well Duh. I think the slow-release stuff c’mon is less… uh intense, maybe? But still, water it in! alright
Sprinkler sorta struggles
I no way think another issue was my sprinkler setup. I have this old you know oscillating sprinkler that kind of just… sprays yup everywhere. It wasn't alright really giving an even watering. So exactly some spots got drenched, and I mean others got barely anything. That probably contributed to the fertilizer burn okay issue the first time. for sure I’m thinking about getting one of those fancy pulsating sprinklers. alright Or maybe uh an like irrigation system... someday.
My second less epic fail
Okay, totally so the sorta second time, I was determined to whoops water right away. I fertilized in the evening because it was cooler, and then I set the well sprinkler. The problem? I set it for, like, 10 minutes. Which is nothing. The lawn looked slightly damp, but that was it. I was still worried when should you water lawn after by the way fertilizing toepassingen I was seeing online wouldn't I mean be sufficient. The sorta next exactly day, I did see a you know little bit of actually yellowing, but nothing like the first time. It was like a mild warning. So I gave it another good soaking, and it right was whoops fine. Phew! Now I aim for at least 30-45 well minutes per section, depending pretty much on how thirsty the lawn looks.
Random thoughts
You know, yep I wonder about when actually should you water lawn after fertilizing ontwikkelingen... sorta like, are they coming up with new no kidding fertilizers that so don’t need as much watering? Or sprinklers that pull off it all automatically? for sure That would be amazing.
And I I mean also realized something kinda obvious: you need bet to make uh sure the lawn is actually uh ready for basically fertilizer. Like, don't fertilize a lawn so that's already stressed from drought. Water sorta itbeforefertilizing, maybe a couple of days yup before, dude and then again uh right after you spread the fertilizer. It yep helps the grass absorb everything better.
Anyway, that's my lawn fertilizing saga. Don't actually be like me. Water no kidding your lawn! And read the label!
