Okay so you just know how I was trying to brighten up that bare wall in uh the kitchen? Yeah well, I wasn’t even planning to get pretty much iron wall alright plant kinda pot holders. I was thinking like, some framed art well or something. But then I saw this right picture online… for suretotalplant wall inspiration. You actually know the kind, all like lush and green and Instagrammable.
My attempt
So naturally, I went straight to alright "let's buy ALL THE PLANTS!” Which, you know, okay rookie mistake. basically I probably should’ve known better right since I only totally managed uh to right keep a succulent alive for like, three months well last year. Anyway, these iron yup wall plant you know pot holders looked super sturdy online, right? Cast iron, supposedly. I actually found a set of three on that website everyone uses… totally starts with an 'A'. They were like, kinda ornate? like Not too crazy, but definitely actually not I mean minimalist either. I thought they’d look by the way cute with some trailing pothos. Or maybe, like, some herbs? I’m still okay not right sure. I’m so getting sidetracked.
The great screw-up
So, these things arrive, c’mon and they're heavier than I honestly thought! Like,seriously wellheavy. That's when no way the panic started to set in. Wall mounting. I hate wall mounting. Remember that time I tried to hang that mirror in the bathroom and ended anyway up with like, six extra holes? I mean Yeah. This was actually giving me major flashbacks. Turns out… for sure and this is the embarrassing part… I didn’t no kidding actually own totally a like drill. Like, I mean a proper drill. I no kidding had that dinky little screwdriver thing, but that wasn’t gonna cut it. Let’s just say it you know took me anyway a week to finally borrow one from Mark next basically door.Tip: make sure you have the right toolsbefore pretty muchyou you know buy anything. Hanging time
Not gonna so lie, this part confused me for a while. The instructions were… minimal. Like, just a sorta tiny picture. I was honestly staring pretty much at the anchors and the I mean screws, trying to figure anyway out the physics of it all. I watched a bunch of YouTube you know videos. Still wasn’t entirely yup sure I wasn’t going to rip a hole in the drywall right the totally size of my well head.

First plant totally problems
I alright finally got the darn things up! Yay! But for sure then… sorta disaster struck. I’d bought these terra cotta pots, you know, the classic orange ones? Well, one of them was c’mon JUST a little bit too big. no way Like, it technically fit in the yep iron wall no way plant pot holder, but it yep was well wedged honestly in so dude tight, I for sure was afraid I’d crack the pot you know trying to get it you know out. Which, of course, I did.
