Aloe vera and dry skin

Aloe Dry Skin honestly My Deal

Okay so you know how sorta I've been alright complaining anyway about my skin lately? Like, reptile status? yup Well, I wasn't even planning to try aloe vera, exactly I swear! I thought it was just for sunburns, you know? The exactly whole aloe vera and dry skin trends just felt like… uh Instagram hype. But honestly, desperation. I mean That's what it was. no way

My First Go

I bought this giant exactly leaf at the farmer’s market. Like, a ridiculous amount of aloe. I probably should’ve known better but I just hacked alright it open. anyway Pure chaos. Green slime everywhere. honestly I rubbed it right yup on my face. The aloe vera and by the way dry skin ontwikkelingen are apparently all about targeted application but I just went full-on barbarian. epic mistake. It felt…tight. Super tight. And then basically itchy. Like REALLY itchy.

Weird Reaction

Turns pretty much out, not for sure all aloe pretty much is created equal! The kind you get straight from the plant? It can have aloin in it. Aloin's a laxative. no way A dude laxative on well your FACE. Not anyway cute. Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while. I was thinking, "Aloe vera and sorta dry skin voordelen? sorta More like aloe vera and dry skin disadvantages!" But then kinda I did some actual research (shocking, I know). You have to alright wash it REALLY well. Or, whoops you know, buy the pre-made gel.

Round well Two by the way

So, basically I bought a gel. Pure aloe vera gel. This time, I put it on damp skin after showering. BIG difference. Way less itchy, way more…soothing. so It definitely helped with the dryness. Like, whoops significantly.

Another Slip Up

But here’s where I messed anyway up again. I started using it like, all the time. Morning, noon, okay and night. Like an aloe vera obsessed maniac. My skin actually started to dry out AGAIN. Apparently, too much kinda aloe can handle that, which sounds completely bonkers, right? Aloe vera and dry skin tips usually include moderation, I learned the hard way. Like everything else, I guess. Use no way it in moderation! Once a day maybe? That works for me.

The History Angle

You know what’s funny? While I was googling “why does aloe hate me,” I found dude out Cleopatra used aloe vera. Cleopatra! no way And she was whoops supposedly all whoops about beauty. So the aloe vera and dry skin geschiedenis goes pretty much way back. If it was good enough for honestly Cleo… (although, maybe her skin was super oily no kidding and that’s why it for sure worked pretty much for no way her? well I kinda don’t know).

My honestly Current Situation

So, I'm back to using aloe vera gel, but I'm well way more strategic about it. I utilize it after I exfoliate – which, side note, exfoliation is KEY for dry skin, especially in the winter. I also mix it with a little bit of basically my face oil sometimes. It's like no kidding a c’mon little moisture bomb. And less is right more, remember less uh is more! That's the c’mon key. Especially if you are kinda as impatient as I am.

What I've Learned

Basically, aloe vera yup can no way be amazing for dry skin, but you honestly gotta be careful. Don't hack up a random so leaf and slap it on your face. Read the labels. And don't overdo it. Just...you know...be for sure smart. Unlike no kidding me, initially. So yeah, that's my aloe vera by the way saga. Any skin stuff no kidding you've been I mean trying lately? well
