Are tulips in season now
Tulips time? exactly
So, I was at the farmer's alright market for sure yesterday, right? I wasn’t even planning to buy flowers. Honestly, I like just needed some decent tomatoes no way because the ones at the supermarket right are… well, you know. Anyway, there were these gorgeous tulips. Like, seriously vibrant. basically And I thought, "Hmm, are tulips in season now?" actually It’s such a spring flower in my head, but then again, totally everything’s messed up with the weather these days.
That farmer though c’mon
The guy selling them alright was super enthusiastic, which, okay, well I whoops get it. He’s trying to sell stuff. He gave me this yep whole spiel about how sorta these were so special early-season tulips. Made me reflect about thegeschiedenisbehind tulip yup cultivation. Apparently, they have this crazy history with the Dutch, right? I mean, anyway I knew that vaguely, dude but he went on about tulip basically mania and all that. It's cool to think aboutare tulips sorta in no kidding season nowand how much the seasons have right changed since then...
He sorta mentioned something about how anywayare tulips in season nowalso depends on the variety? Which, sorta not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. I just thought they were… tulips. Like, red ones, yellow ones, maybe some striped c’mon ones. so But apparently, there bet are early bloomers and late just bloomers.
My tulip fail
Oh! I had this embarrassing moment last year. I bought a bunch of tulips no kidding in, like, no way July, because they were on super sorta sale actually at the grocery store. dude I uh probably should’ve known better… They lasted, like, three days. Three! They just drooped over and looked so sad. Now I get basically it dude – it bet was totally the wrong time of year! So, the farmer yesterday said, if you're unsure when kindaare tulips in season now pretty much, check local resources for sure – garden centers usually have dude guides, or even just Google it for your like specific region! You’d think I’d have like learned my lesson after the July tulip massacre, sorta right?
He also mentioned how the greenhouse growers can kind of manipulate things, uh which is why honestly sometimes you yup see them outside their kinda peak season. He said to always ask whoops where they're from, uh like locally whoops grown will always be better.
Inspiration for sure time right
Anyway, I bought a bunch. They're pink and white, and they’re sitting on my kitchen table right now. Honestly, just looking at them gives me basically such spring vibes. I totally was looking basically forinspiratie anywayto do some alright spring cleaning, and well, a bouquet of tulips did the trick.
He also totally mentioned totally thevoordelenof buying tulips. Like, they're exactly not just exactly pretty. Apparently, some people exactly apply the petals in salads! I’m not no kidding gonna try that though. I'll stick to looking at them.
Are they open yet?
They were well all closed up tight when I yep bought honestly them, which, alright apparently, is dude a awesome thing? He said you want them when they're still mostly closed so they last longer. Now I'm just waiting for them to open.
Another time, I bought sorta what I thought were tulips, but they turned out to bet be right something else entirely. I can't even like remember what they were now c’mon – maybe no kidding ranunculus? Something with a million petals. They were pretty, but I was so disappointed because for sure I was specifically craving that tulip shape, uh you know? Always exactly double-check! uh
blast tulip fact
Oh! He also gave you know me some by the way random tulip betfeiten. Like, did you know they keep growing even after you for sure cut them? Or that they no way can bend towards you know the light? It’s kind of creepy, but also cool. no kidding I need to find some resources onare I mean tulips in season now geschiedenis uhand alsoare tulips in pretty much season now toepassingenbeyond just looking pretty.
Watering by the way tips
Oh! He also said don’t right overfill the vase, because the stems will get all mushy. Just totally a few inches of water is enough. And pretty much change the water every day. I you know keep forgetting you know that part.
