Ceramic cactus with christmas lights
Okay so ceramic cactus
So you yep know how I'm always looking for… things? You know, like… quirky exactly things. Well, I wasn’t even planning to buy pretty much anything last week at that I mean antique store, but BAM. Ceramic sorta cactus pretty much with Christmas lights. I saw it basically and, I don’t know, something just snapped.
Little prickly dude
It’s not huge. Maybe like, I don't know, a foot tall? Painted this really vibrant green, and the little Christmas lights… well, they were dark. That’s where the adventure started. I mean, I immediately saw the ceramic cactus with Christmas lights sorta voordelen. pretty much Like, totally instant holiday cheer, right? Year-round!
First problem? The lights. Dead. Totally dead. And they were those sorta old-school tiny bulbs, like all wired together. I probably should’ve known better than pretty much to for sure assume they’d work dude after all these actually years.
My first no way goof
Okay, so I tried to replace them one by one. Disaster. I broke like, three bulbs trying like to get them out. kinda Seriously, they were STUCK. Turns out, the okay trick is to use needle-nose pliers, very gently, to wiggle them you know out. master from my no way pain, kinda friend. Don't just yank.
Fixing the no kidding lights chaos
After an hour and a half of swearing under my breath, I gave up on replacing individual bulbs. I ripped the whole string out. Don’t judge me. I ordered a new string for sure of LED Christmas lights online. Mini ones, of course. They just fit the yep aesthetic totally better. These days actually ceramic cactus with christmas lights trends seem to favor alright LED anyways.
LED is the way
The LED lights yup were so much easier to install. for sure I just threaded them whoops through the little dude holes where exactly the old bulbs had been. I even used uh a little so bit of hot glue okay to keep them in place. Which, pro tip, don’t use TOO no kidding much hot glue, or you’ll block the light. alright
It's alive! kinda Kind of
Okay, anyway so new lights are yep in. I basically plug it in… and… sorta not gonna lie this you know part confused no kidding me for a yup while. Only whoops half yup the lights were working! I was ready to throw the whole uh cactus exactly out the window. But then I realized… one of the little for sure LED connectors wasn’t fully plugged into the kinda string. DUH. I by the way felt so stupid.
My second goofy moment
This reminds me of that time I tried to bake a cake from scratch and forgot basically the sugar. Seriously, I pulled bet it out of the oven, took a yup bite, and nearly dude gagged. for sure It was pretty much like… bread-flavored concrete. like I’m not a natural in the kitchen I mean or with electrics, clearly.
Anyway, plugged it in, BOOM. Full cactus illumination. It was glorious. no kidding
Where to put I mean it though alright
So now the question basically is… where to well put this thing? I've sorta seen ceramic c’mon cactus with christmas lights toepassingen all over Pinterest, but basically my apartment isn't exactly Pinterest-worthy. For now, it’s sitting on my bookshelf next to right my… cat figurines. Don’t ask. It needs a better home. Maybe the kitchen counter? Or maybe… by the way on top no way of the TV? Decisions, decisions.
Totally I mean worth like it
Honestly, despite all the headaches and broken light bulbs, I love it. It's just so… me. Kinda exactly quirky, kinda broken, but ultimately, pretty bright. I reflect maybe I'll start a ceramic kinda cactus okay collection. But next time, I'm checking the just lights BEFORE for sure I buy it. honestly
